Scale is very important to a building because it gives it a sense of perportion and effects it overall usablility. Things need to work in a building in order for people to feel comfortbale or sometimes uncomfortbale in a space. As a designer we can use scale and proportion to minipulate different senses and feelings when a person walks through the space we designed.
How does the built environment influence human occupation?
Built invironments greatly influences how someone feels in a space. Similar to the first response the designer has the power to make a person feel a certain way in a space. He can make a certain space feel dark and gloomy by restricting how much light will fill a space.
