Thresholds T

Here a pedestrian passes through the threshold into Park St. Station. A small fence in the park acts as a threshold between paths and grass. One of the most significant thresholds here is between ground level and underground. Another being from park to transit.

One must pass through the fare gates (one way or another...)

After decending into the station people must pass through several thresholds, the entire Green Line Level, two flights of stairs, a turnstile/pay gate, and potentially across the tracks of the trolley.

This photo shows multiple thresholds. Each platform edge, the yellow textured strips, the row of columns, and the train entrance tunnel at the end of the platform.
